Nelly Furtado Gives Gadhafi Money

FIRST Released: September 28, 2011 10:12 AM EDT TORONTO, ONT -- Canadian pop singer Nelly Furtado states she's giving the $a million she gained to do for people of former Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafis family towards the Free the kids charitable organisation. Furtado stated in Feb she'd donate the cash from the 2007 show in Italia for people of Gadhafis family. She chose to make this latest announcement Tuesday in a youth empowerment day organized by Canadian co-founders of Free the kids. Her donation goes toward creating a women school in Kenya along with a Free the kids program supporting women in the centre East and North Africa. Usher, Mariah Carey, Beyonce have also guaranteed to provide the costs using their performances at private concerts later revealed to become from the Gadhafi family to charitable organisation or have stated they have done this.
